Show your commitment to making Illinois a "red" state once again.

The Land of Lincoln and Reagan remained solidly "blue" for Kerry in 2004. The tide must turn - Illinois Republicans must start THINKING RED. And although we may all live in a "blue" state, that's all the more reason why we should THINK RED.

THINK RED is an obvious reference to what has become one of the most talked about ideas in politics today, the Red State vs. Blue State divide.

THINK RED leverages this well understood concept to emphasize the need to become more like a red state – a state that can win for a conservative like George W. Bush. THINK RED is a new paradigm for the way right-minded people think about how to win.

THINK RED is a thought provoking, unifying phrase, reminding people of the principles contained in the RNC Platform.

THINK RED is also a strong reference and show of respect to our Commander in Chief, and a recognition that while we didn’t make the state “red” for him in either of his races - we are committed to recognizing our state’s and our Party’s problems and making the changes necessary to regain the voters' trust.
Direct elections for the 19 State Central Committee members must be restored before the 2006 election cycle. This is crucial to returning at least some measure of accountability.

It’s absurd for our State Party to even talk about unity and building the grassroots, as long as they divisively deny Republicans the same respect and trust which Illinois Democrats receive from their Party.

ILLINOIS REPUBLICANS ARE BANDING TOGETHER!
It's time for Illinois Republicans to roll-up their sleeves and get to work. It's time to get serious.

We're asking every Illinois Republican to join us in asking State GOP Chairman Andy McKenna, Jr. to issue a call for a special State Republican Convention to be held this summer. The purpose of this statewide gathering of Republicans would be to reform, rebuild and renew the Illinois Republican Party.
Through the Republican Renaissance Project we'll continue to expose the problems and behavior that led to our Illinois Party's total collapse. We'll keep the spotlight on and inform Republicans about the opportunities available, as well as about the process and requirements for getting involved at all levels.

We believe that once the urgent need is explained - better leaders will rise to the challenge. We know that leaders of strength and integrity are out there - in cities, towns and farms all across Illinois. Republicans who care about the future of our Party and our State should never want to return to the Dark Ages of the Illinois GOP.
The Republican has quickly become THE champion of rank-and-file Republicans in Illinois. The Republican provides the news and analysis that regular Republicans need to turn their Illinois GOP around. The scoundrels who still think they can misuse our Illinois GOP may hate the sunlight's disinfectant qualities. But that's too bad. You can count on The Republican to keep giving you straight talk.
